FL | Titusville | Celebrating 50 Years of Women in Space

Saturday March 9th, 2013 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Location: Arthur Dunnn Airport, Titusville, Florida, USA (map)

Come and join us to celebrate 50 years of women in space!

shuttleGirls and women are invited for a free discovery flight in support of Women of Aviation Worldwide Week on the Florida Space Coast near Kennedy Space Center.

Flights start at 9:00 AM.

American Airlines 757 Captain Kimberly Lowe will be our official photographer and take pictures of women and girls who fly that day.

Meet and greet with NASA women astronauts, scientists, engineers, and aviators at 10:00 AM.

At 6:30 pm, enjoy a special banquet with music from the 1940s through the 1960s. Preference for period costumes (poodle skirts for women and geeky NASA 1960s look for men). Our keynote speaker will be NASA Kennedy Space Center Deputy Director Janet Petro, a military helicopter pilot and West Point graduate.

Let the fun begin!
