Pilots dilemma on March 10: full English breakfast or French croissants

Pilots from around Europe are confronted with a real dilemma. How will they and their first flight passengers start the day on March 10, 2012? Full English breakfast or French croissants?

Traditional English breakfast at Headcorn

Should they choose to fly in the morning to the Headcorn aerodrome, a full English breakfast with eggs, sausages, ham, beans, and toasts awaits them for just £4.95 at the field’s restaurant. The Air Warfare Museum will open its doors at 9:30. From 10:00 to 11:00, well known speakers will present several speeches. Then, it is on to the gathering starting at 11:00, local time.

French croissants. Oh, la, la!

What if they choose to start the day at Le Touquet? A quick shuttle ride will take then in town where high quality restaurants and boulangeries abound and the smell of warm croissants feels the air. They could opt to explore the area instead and rent bicycles at the airport (advance reservations are highly recommended). Then, it is back to the airport to attend the gathering that begins at 12:00, local time.

Hotel accommodations are available at both locations for those who want to get an early start and arrive on the eve of the gathering. So many choices. The life of a pilot can be tough. What will you select?
