The City of Oshawa, ON, proclaims March 7-13, Women Of Aviation Week

The City Council of Oshawa, at a meeting held on February 22, 2011, proclaimed March 7 to 13, 2011 as ‘Women Of Aviation Week’.

The City added that it is proud of the valuable service Women Licensed Pilots provide to their citizens. Furthermore, Mayor Henry and members of City Council wish us every success in our activities celebrating this event.

Thank you, City Of Oshawa, for your support to all the pilots and Oshawa businesses who are so dedicated at promoting the benefits of aviation to local girls and women.

Air India organizes flights with all women flight crew and all women flight support on IWD

Women friendly, Air India, is really celebrating the 100th anniversay of International Women’s Day and the 101st anniversary of the first female pilot license wholeheartedly.

Air India has organised flights with all women crew together with women dispatchers, women load and trim staff, women engineers, women staff at check-in counters, women doctor for crew breathalyser test, women staff for security checks and women conducting LOSA safety audit tomorrow, March 8 2011.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation will also felicitate women aviators, who have contributed significantly to the civil aviation in India, on the occasion of International Women’s day.
