WOAW VIP Club Card
There are many pro-active, community minded, and caring human beings involved in aviation.
To help you connect with them, Women Of Aviation Worldwide created the WOAW VIP Club. This very exclusive club is reserved to aviation doers.
Membership is not for sale. The only way to become a member is by taking action.
The club is opened to all aviation enthusiasts and professionals (pilots, air traffic controllers, mechanics, engineers, etc.) regardless of sex. Members gain access to the members-only VIP Club group and forum within this website and benefit from exclusive offers. Each member receives a wallet -size member card.
To qualify for basic membership, you must be a member of this website and complete at least 5 qualifying activities within the 12 months preceding your request to become a member. Your membership will be effective from March 5, 2012 to March 3, 2013. Qualifying activities can be combined in any combination.
Here is the list of qualifying activities:
- Introductory flights of girls and women who have never flown in smaller airplanes (instructional introductory flights are OK)
- Organization of events introducing girls and women to aviation (1 credit per 5 participants)
- Volunteering at an event introducing girls and women to aviation
- Mentoring a girl or a women in aviation activities (must be performed on a volunteer basis)
- Speeches about aviation opportunities to groups of non-aviation girls or women
- Articles or other media contribution about aviation opportunities for girls and women
- Activities within the WOAW website such as making friends, posting in the group forums, sharing links, posting comments, etc. (1 credit per 50 points earned)
Note: For events to qualify, girls and women must constitute the majority of the attendants (51%)
To renew your membership, you must complete at least 5 qualifying activities while an active member.
You can be extra important!
WOAW VIP Club Pins
The more activities you undertake, the more rewards you will receive. While an active member, complete a total of:
- 12 qualifying activities (a total of 850 points) to reach VIP Club Star level and earn a beautiful WOAW VIP Club enamel collectible pin
- 36 qualifying activities (a total of 2050 points) to reach VIP Club Silver Star level and earn a stunning WOAW VIP Club silver collectible pin
- 60 qualifying activities (a total of 3,250 points) to reach VIP Club Gold Star level and earn a limited edition WOAW VIP Club gold collectible pin
Each year, the member with the most points at the end of Women Of Aviation Worldwide Week will receive the Women Of Aviation Worldwide Spirit Award.
Action does have its privileges.
To join the WOAW VIP Club, submit a flight report (for introductory flights) or an activity report (for activities not involving introductory flights).
